Music at the Market
Mar Vista Farmers’ Market has resident DJs that play music throughout the month.
Individual DJs,each with their own eclectic music list, add to the congenial atmosphere
of the marketplace. Like our farmers and vendors, we want our music to be reflective
of the community: progressive, melding rural and urban, past and present.

LC has been passionately spinning vinyl since 82'. LC's sound is hip hop, lounge, reggae, trip hop, dance and some pop music mixed together to harmonize his acoustic signature. This sound has made him a vital piece of the musical group Bitter:Sweet, as featured on 89.9fm KCRW. LC spreads his vibe and sound around to various events around LA such as, Cannibal Flower, Nic's Martini Lounge, and the Mar Vista Farmers' Market every second and third Saturday of the month. Out from behind the DJ booth, LC is a also a collage artist and co-owner and curator of Art Bar, Thinkspace Gallery and Cannibal Flower.

PartTimeChiller
Ameet spins an eclectic Sunday morning mix spanning new world music, bossa nova, funk & soul, 60's pop, and basically anything with a good beat to put a little strut in your step and some head nodding while you shop for your farmers' market treats. A veteran DJ and designer from San Francisco, California Ameet (aka PartTimeChiller) wants to be your friend and play some music for you. Catch him every last Sunday of the month and stop by to say 'Hi'.

United Groove
Venice DJ Miles Perlich hosts United Groove, a hip, funky and eclectic blend of Afro-Latin, Jazz, Soul, Funk and Rare Groove.
From Jamaican Juice to Brazilian Beats, Cosmic Sounds and funky treats, United Groove is a musical celebration of Life and Rhythm. After years of gracing the Los Angeles airwaves at KJazz & KPFK, Miles is thrilled to bring the funky sounds of United Groove to the Mar Vista Farmers' Market. Come listen & enjoy!
