Filming at the MVFM

The farmers market is a working marketplace and a vital source of income for our farmers and vendors. We welcome film, television, cooking show, and digital content productions; however, all commercial activity must be approved in advance.

Location fees are determined on a case-by-case basis and require submission of
a script or production outline, along with current proof of insurance. Fees are based on crew size, number of vehicles, time of year, and the duration of the shoot.

To protect our vendors and shoppers, filming or content creation that monetizes
normal market operations is not permitted. If your project may affect business activity, please include fair compensation for impacted vendors in your proposal.

Unauthorized or “bootleg” filming, photography, or content creation — including student or influencer projects — are not permitted without a permit and may result in penalties. Permits must be obtained through FilmLA only after your proposal has been submitted to and approved by the market’s management.

We appreciate your respect for our community and the livelihoods it supports.
